5 euro – Garden Dormouse

The “Fauna in Luxembourg” series, prepared in collaboration with the “Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur”, is dedicated to species that require special protection and monitoring. In 2023, the BCL is concerned, together with scientists, about the disappearance in Luxembourg of the garden dormouse a discreet nocturnal rodent. The silver and nordic gold coin is packaged in a slipcase that presents the garden dormouse in its natural environment.
