In the Jubilee of 2025, the Church turns her gaze to Mary, Stella Maris, Mother of Hope, as a radiant guide, a safe refuge, and a light amid the waves of life. In Chiara Principe’s composition, Mary is depicted frontally, with a gesture both solemn and tender: her hands are outstretched to support the calm waters upon which the Barque of Peter sails with confidence. Her arms, open like welcoming shores, embrace all who entrust themselves to her. Her mantle becomes the boundary between storm and stillness. The Star of the Sea shines above, illuminating the scene with a light that does not dazzle but guides, and within that sea safeguarded by Mary, the Church advances serenely. In that heavenly embrace, humanity finds shelter, strength, and renewed trust to resume its journey.
