10 euro – Spanish Presidency of the European Union

To commemorate Spain’s Presidency of the European Union during the first semester of 2002, a coin was issued in proof quality bearing a design making reference to this event. Obverse and reverse 8-reale silver Spain´s presidency of the European UnionMinted from silver in proof quality and given a face value of 10 Euros, the coin commemorating Spain's Presidency of the E.U. shows the profile of H.M. King Juan Carlos I on the obverse and the map of the countries that comprise the European Union on the reverse.
