On the occasion of the coming of age of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias, the FNMT-RCM celebrates this important event with the issue of the 40 euro collector's coin in sterling silver. The obverse depicts the effigy of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias, Doña Leonor de Borbón y Ortiz. On the reverse is reproduced in color the Coat of Arms of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias. To her right, in two lines and in capital letters, the face value, 40 EURO, and within a circle, in the form of a quadruple latent image, appear a schematic Victoria Cross, the mint mark, a royal crown and the number 23. Surrounding the central zone, in circular descending sense and in capital letters, appears the legend 18 ANIVERSARIO S.A.R. LA PRINCESA DE ASTURIAS (18 ANNIVERSARY H.R.H. THE PRINCESS OF ASTURIAS). The coin is presented in a transparent, heat-sealed plastic wrapper, as can be seen in the image.
