3,000 forint - 100th anniversary of the founding of the Hungarian Paediatricians Association

The Hungarian Paediatricians Association is one of Hungary’s most prominent scientific paediatric organisations. Under the chairmanship of János Bókay, its founding was prepared by a committee composed of Ármin Fleschm, Pál Heim and Ferenc Torday. Ever since its first meeting on 14 December 1924, the Association has been serving the health and well-being of children. Over the course of the past century, they have contributed to preserving the health of 15 million children. Even though the paediatric profession has undergone considerable development, the tenets on which the Association was built remain its guiding principles: healing based on scientific knowledge, protecting children’s health, supporting families, and uniting the professional community.
The MNB is issuing a non-ferrous metal collector coin with a face value of 3,000 forints entitled ‘Magyar Gyermekorvosok Társasága’; its primary role is to store value and raise awareness. It’s use in everyday payments transactions should be avoided. The face value displayed on the collector coin is meant to preserve its value to collectors.
