20 francs - 4 Seasons - Summer

The new special coin dedicated to summer is produced in a 999 silver alloy. It has a face value of CHF 20, weighs 20g and has a diameter of 33mm. The obverse shows the sun's position according to the season. In summer, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted most towards the sun and therefore receives more light and heat. The sun is thus a fitting symbol for this season. A world map centred on Switzerland is delicately outlined within the bright sun's core. The “Summer Triangle” constellation, typical of this season, is depicted at the bottom left. The coin edge features the Italian words “Estate”, “guigno”, “luglio”, and “agosto”. The reverse shows the vegetation cycle in full bloom. The symbolic depiction of summer is raised and polished. Around the edge of the coin is the face value of CHF 20, the inscription “CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA”, the minting year 2026 and the mint mark B for Swissmint. The coin will be released in a limited issue comprising 8,000 coins in uncirculated quality with an issue price of CHF 65, and 3,500 coins in proof quality with an issue price of CHF 110. In addition, the proof quality version is tinted with the season's predominant colour: yellow. The coin will be available from 11 June 2026 in Swissmint's official online shop.
