Since 2017 and after the Sower, Hercules and the Rooster, Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to a major symbol of the French Republic : Marianne. Marianne is a symbol of the French Republic, she is wearing a Phrygian cap, a cockade and is accompanied by flying birds.
In 2019, she illustrates fraternity symbolised by the letter « F » of the word Fraternity. It turns into drawings of hands which link men and women with each other. Fraternity of the sexes is a key driver of the Republic.
