To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights, INCM has struck a 2-euro commemorative circulation coin. It marks the unique moment in mankind’s recent history when the United Nations adopted the Declaration. On the 10th of December 1948, the UN General Assembly proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard for all individuals, peoples and nations to have in mind in their actions. Sculptor João Duarte designed the national face of the coin, a mintage with Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) finish. Coin struck with BU finish on specially prepared metal blanks resorting to polished dies. The mintage was limited to 15,000 pieces presented in wallets.
