This series, which was launched last year, continues its tribute to the characters of French literature. After the tragic destinies featured in 2011, it's the adventurers' turn in the spotlight: Cyrano, D’Artagnan and Puss in Boots.

Cyran o is loosely based on the real-life figure of Savinien Cyrano de Bergerac who became famous for his panache and the length of his nose. Cyrano is depicted on the obverse in profile. In the background, Roxane, whom Cyrano secretly loves, appears on her balcony. The name of the story appears in a stylised print. On the reverse, the portrait of Edmond Rostand is accompanied by the quotation "A la fin de l’envoi, je le touche", an extract from the play "Cyrano de Bergerac".
