A coin devoted to the famous football club Paris Saint-Germain, founded in 1970, is also struck. In the Premier League since 1974, this club plays at home in the "Parc des Princes" stadium in Paris and is the recipient of numerous cups, the most recent being the Coupe de France in 2010. Based on their European performances, this club ranks third among French teams. On the obverse, the club's emblem is surrounded by the words "Champion de France". The years when they claimed this title are featured underneath. The reverse features the design of a footballer kicking a ball. The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup - which the club won in 1996 - appears inside the ball. In the background stands the Parc des Princes stadium.
