The Vatican State Mint is once again celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism with a 10 euro gold coin. Designed by artist Mariangela Crisciotti, the coin shows Jesus with his head bowed and hands joined, immersed in the River Jordan. The baptismal water descends upon his head directly from the hand of John, who would later be called the Baptist.
