10 euro - 4th Series Spanish Painters - Zurbarán

With the classic coinage equivalent of eight reales and a face value of 10 Euros, this coin portrays on the obverse a likeness of Francisco de Zurbaran based on a medallion carved by the sculptor Ramon Barba (1767- 1831) that graces the facade of the Prado Museum building in Madrid. The reverse reproduces the work "Hercules Fights with the Nemean Lion" by Francisco de Zurbaran, housed in the Prado Museum in Madrid.
